Who are we?
Jane Bullock and Bill Scarborough have owned and operated Pocket Farm since 2002. Prior to that, we were city dwellers and gardeners. The beauty of Pocket Farm, nestled by 16,000 acres of Pigeon Mtn. Wildlife Mgt. Area, the pristine waters, and the clean air drew us out of the city and into rural life.
Now we cultivate 3 of our 145 acres. The remainder of the farm is in woodlands, creeks, lake and pastures. We sustainably grow fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, chickens, eggs and dairy goats. Everything is grown without the use of commercial fertilizers and pesticides. Our farming practice of enriching our soil with our farm produced compost results in nutrient dense foods.
We are committed to supporting our community by offering our bounty to you at local farmers markets, our CSA program, local grocery stores and restaurants.
We highly encourage you to know your farmer. We look forward to knowing you!
